who are we

Who are we?

We are a community of God's people as diverse as the colors of the rainbow. We have many points of view and a variety of opinion on the issues of our day. However, we understand ourselves to be ministers in God's kingdom who are called to use our gifts and talents in service to God. Through our faith in Jesus Christ, we unite in ministry to care for God's people and the world. In spite of the struggles and challenges common to us all, we seek to be a blessing to those God sends our way. Each day, the people of Faith United Presbyterian Church step out in faith as we strive to be a reflection of God's wonderful creation in the way we live, work, and play. We truly desire to "Let FAITH make a difference in your life!!!"

As a pebble that is dropped into the center of a pond causes ripples to extend outward, we have been commissioned to form the same ever-widening circle of community which begins in the Slate Belt and extends to the ends of the earth.  Our mission statement reads:

About Our Logo our logo

There is quite a bit of symbolism in our logo which might not be apparent at first glance. The rainbow is intended to represent the promise of God for a rich and full life. The white "mist" over much of the rainbow is the spiritual fog which clouds our view of the life with which God has blessed us. The cross represents the walk of faith which reveals life in all its intended fullness, wonder, and glory.

At Faith Church, we believe we are called to join with our Creator in revealing the radiance of an intimate relationship with God to all who live under a cloud of spiritual poverty. We have been blessed to be a blessing.
